Hi
Well, I don't have one in .308, but I do have one in .270, and I like it.
I bought this gun for my wife to use for deer this fall, and I haven't been disapointed yet. It's topped with a Nikon Gamemaster 2-7X scope, and using Federal 130gr Power-Shok's. After only 60 rounds of ammo through it, my wife is putting up 2.5-3 inch groups(at 100 yards. Next trip, we are going to the 200 range).
I am happy with that accuracy.
Initially, I was worried that a .270 in that light of a gun was going to kick too much for my wife. But, while you know you are shooting it, it doesn't hurt that bad. Now, if I decide to go elk hunting, and try out Hornady's 140gr Light Magnum load, I'll let you know about that kick again.
If it was me, I'd get it. I was very torn between a .308 and a .270. Sportsman's Warehouse had the .270 in stock, which is what made up my mind. I payed $210 for mine, so if you can find one for $200 even, go for it!
