I've got an S&W that seriously needs refinishing, but I hate to part with it for 4-6 weeks.

Anyone here do the work themselves, and have a reasonable wait? ;)

Nope. There is only one man in the world that I would let re-finish a revolver. His name is Dave Mazy and his number is 1-928-636-1262 and he is in Chino Vally. I know he is very busy, but he slips in blue jobs about every three weeks or so. He won't polish out the cylinder notches like most of them do and ruin your gun. Give him a call. He does my revolver work and every one knows how picky I am.

Try Glenrock Blue

I am not sure how busy Phil is right now but his turn around time has always been short for me ..but then again I only live 20 miles away. :) GREAT work at reasonable prices and one hell of a nice guy! I know a few of the BIG boys (cusstom smiths use him) and I have seen quite a bit of his work all of it beautiful.

If I go to Lassen College in 2005, I'll be happy to refinish it for you. I can't tell yet because I don't know whether my request for vacation will be approved.
