It depends

$495 - membership off.
divided by $35 - current cost of yearly.
equals 14 years.

Im 56, will I live long enough.. I hope so.

If I live past 70, the lifetime membership is worth it.

But Im still not sure.. Im a passive gun owner.

In that I do own a rifle and will soon own a handgun.

But I am also one.. who will ignore any law that keeps me from protecting my family & my home.. my guns will never leave the house except for maintnance or practice... and only then.

I dont hunt, and dont plan to.. I did as a kid.. but it was rare because I only went with my dad then... and after he retired he didnt hunt anymore.
He retired at 56... and liveed to be 89.

If I read the ad right, I got 3 days to decide.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I have been paying for yearly memberships for five years now, and have been considering the life membership. This offer convinced me to go ahead and sign up now.

The $300 memberships in 2013 was the way to go. Hopefully the NRA won't ever need to fundraise like that again

Congratulations karateclarinet

To me sending them money to fight for me makes it worth it. I send them more money as a life member than I did as an annual member. The point is to financially support a grass roots orgization, they can't fight Bloomberg without us. I pinch pennies to, but when I have extra they get some of it. Hopefully it will help my children and grandchildren enjoy the same freedom I have. They may NEED it.
