I have a very nice Lyman All American turret press that has an over sized turret hole that is apperantly for a shotgun powder or shotshell die station.

The small threads in this die station hole are assumingly 1.1X25 tpi. At least that is what the folks at Lyman seem to think it might be.

I would really like to find a reducer bushing that Lyman once made but is no longer available unless a private party helps me find one. This reducer bushing allows one to use any standard 7/8X14 dies instead of the shotshell or powder loader die that uses the 1/1X25 tpi threads.

Please don't mistake my needing a Lyman reducer bushing that is still available to drop down from 7/8X14 standard size to 310 die size which is 5/8X30 tpi.

Please look through your old parts box and see if you have this 1.1X25 tpi bushing I'm seeking, will pay premo price for it or trade.

Thanks.

If you can't find the bushing you could purchase a bolt that fits the present hole in the press and have a machine shop cut off the bolt head and drill and tap it to 7/8x14. Just a suggestion.

That is a very good idea, and I have the means to tap it myself...but cannot find a bolt that is 1.1X25 tpi thread.

Living in the northwoods of Wisconsin, there isn't much in the way buying any special parts, all we have is ACE hardware and that's very limited.

It doesn't pay to buy a die in such an odd ball size and use it once and have invested around forty bucks in the die and probably a bigger die wrench to put it in...would run the total to about 80 to 100 bucks.

I will most likely have to go to a machinest eventually, but thought I'd try here on the forum and see if anyone had this reducer bushing part laying around their garage or reloading room.

Try ( www.ch4d.com )look under "contents Q-Z "" RELOADING PRESS PARTS" ( PRESS TOP BUSHINGS) . They have 10 different bushing combinations ,then check your TPI and SIZE. THEY MAY HAVE SOMETHING THAT MIGHT FIT. GOOD LUCK.

Thanks, Bearman. Thats quite an assortment of bushings but either too small or too big.

This old Lyman bushing I need is one inch plus a 1/16 or 32 over an inch in diameter and the threads are much smaller with a 25 tpi.

But thanks for trying.
