I placed an order for some bullets for my .41 Magnum, got the confirmation email, card charged, etc., but after 14 days, nothing. So I turned around and ordered the same bullets from Graf's, paid a little more, but 2 days later the bullets arrived. So I canceled my order with MBC.
Wonder why they're so slow?

Because they are busy shipping bullets to Graf & Sons. ;)

We are not a retail store or a distributor so we do not display on our website which bullets are available or out of stock. We are the manufacturer so if we don't have it in stock, we will simply make it."
So if Graf shows they are in stock, that means actual boxes of bullets are on their shelves for shipping but MBC may not and have to cast it. If bullet is not a more popular bullet, it may be down the casting rotation schedule and take some time for the bullets to be casted and shipped to you piping hot.

When Brad and JoAnn were alive, they had over 4 million bullets on hand for same day shipping but with new managers, things could have changed. Jake from RMR told me he has commercial contracts with ELEY, OEM ammunition manufacturers and commercial vendors/retailers for millions of bullets each month and contract numbers must be met first while retail customer orders are shipped (His crew does a great job of shipping out retail orders essentially same day for USPS pick up).

I ordered 500 of their 215-grain Troopers for my Model 57 in mid-February. Don't remember them taking an inordinate amount of time to arrive.

I don't understand the bill before shipping business model. In my business, customers would never put up with that.

RMR does the same thing. I placed an order last weekend, they billed my card on Monday, but as of this morning the product hasn't shipped.

Did you call them and ask “Why is there a delay?”

No, if I had, then that would've been in my original post. I'm not particularly interested in why they're so slow, only why their distributor can fulfill an order MUCH faster than they can.

I don't mind that so much when there's a reasonable wait, but being billed with no movement for two or more weeks, not so much.

I order my MBC bullets from Graf’s as they show in and out of stock if they don’t have what I need then I use Rim Rock bullets who usually has everything in stock

It was sort of a rhetorical question partially intended to initiate a conversation amongst other handloaders. You're not required to participate.

Well excuse the heck out of me, I participated, anyway. So lets discuss something we have no information why?
Sounds more like whining.

I got a pin, anybody got a balloon

Bursting bubbles who's the pin and who's the balloon :scrutiny:

Much to my joy, look what arrived today!

After a quick disassembly to deal with the atrocious trigger pull, I'll be loading some shells and shooting it. But that's for another thread.

You may totter on along now, fella. I'm sure there's a bingo game in the activity room just waiting for you.

I saw they have bullets and brass for 38sw. I didn't order yet.
If it matters, MBC makes the best 145gr LRN I’ve found for my .38S&W factory reproduction loads.

I think my longest wait was right after the plandemic started. I ordered some .313” wadcutters and it took almost a month for them to arrive. Not a big deal, they’re worth the wait and I’m not running a JIT production facility.

I am willing to bet if the OP had ordered something in a standard sized 357 variety it would have been shipped instantly. Betting 41 MAG is not quite as popular. Probably consider this a special order or such. Just my WAG.
I’m willing to bet MBC doesn’t care where anybody buys their products as long as they keep buying. It’s not like they’re living off a storefront retail business. Wholesale is where their money is made.
