Anyone Seen A CPX-3 Yet???

OK, I forgot the chamber has to be sized for the 380 cartridge and the extractor has to align over the extractor groove. i probably left off some other stuff too, but basically rechambering a gun from 9mm to 380 is a pretty well known process for gun makers.

SCCY is 10 months late now with the CPX 3. If they would have have just rechambered the CPX-2 they'd have been done by now

As I already mentioned, SIG offered a P290RS re-chambered in .380. It was a flop and they removed it from their catalog for 2017. Perhaps Roebuck realizes that a re-chambered CPX-2 would fare no better.

So you're saying they haven't rolled it out because they came to the conclusion that the gun, chambered in 380, would lose money.

Because to your average gun buyer, there isn't that much difference between a rechambeted CPX-2 SCCY and a "Roebuck Quadlock .380 ACP" SCCY

They should be working on a DA/SA coversion and some tritium and FO sights for the 9mm. The trigger situation and lack of decent sights is really what is holdung their platform back.

Does anyone here really like their CPX2? I have one that I've only shot about 50 rounds through, and I really don't like the long, heavy trigger pull. Anyone else?

Mine has several hundred through it with no failures. Yet I have better quality handguns that I prefer to carry, so it doesn't get much time out of the safe. Still, it fits a niche. Light, small 9mm doublestack that would not upset me if I had to give it up for a while. It works, it is a true hammer driven DAO, and it was cheap, that's about it.

That's kind of how I feel about the SAR B6P and the Taurus Millennium G2 PT111

The best thing about them is the cheap price. They're mediocre in every other respect. They're not a joy to shoot or anything, but for a truck gun or throwing into a GHB, they're fine.

Also a few hundred without any major issues. I did upgrade to a FO front sight, Al mag catch and shaved followers on my two original mags so they hold 11. Mag catch is a little spotty still as it seems to need more pressure and 1 of 5 mags doesn't quite drop free, but is much lower profile (dumped mag on my car seat once and never again...). Once you get used to shooting it like a stagey DA revolver with 2 discrete pulls it is much easier to actually hit anything. I had been carrying in a Remora but since I carry OWB for probably 7-8 months I picked up a Galco Stinger which is superb (if you are comfortable with the only retention being tension).

Its weird that Grab-A-Gun has the CPX-3 on their site and they even have them priced, but they're not in stock and never have been.

I bought one today. They had their introduction at Top Gun in Daytona and released the first models. The slide is very easy to operate. The trigger is typical meaning long and fairly heavy but very smooth. The accuracy is good and was tested at 15 yards. I paid the intro price of $199 and am very satisfied.

Further info on the release yesterday. The original delivered batch consisted of of 20 pistols, 10 in black and 10 in Tiffany Blue. It was delayed until about 12:30 due to a shipment of improperly sized recoil springs. They were delivered with one extra coil and had to be cut down and the pistols all reassembled before they could be delivered. The majority had already been paid for by customers who came in the morning. I got the last blue one available. The rep said there would be a much larger order delivered Wed which would have the other colors available. They were sold at the $199 price as was promised. The 9mm version is also available at the price of $229 and will come with two extra magazines for a total of four at that price. I thought the info on the recoil springs and the ends the company will go to at the last minute to stand by their word was worthy of mention. We were also treated to the usual release goodies of hat, pen, key chain, cup, pin and mousepad all with the SCCY logo. I would say we can trust this company to stand by its warranty and bend over backwards to satisfy their customers. This is a pleasant change from lots of companies, today, who seem to have forgotten how to do customer service.

That's certainly great to hear but I'd love to see some pictures of your pistol, being that you actually have one now.

Thanks for the updates.

(386) 310-7993 is the phone number for Top Gun in Daytona, if you would like to check my story. I don't post gun pictures. Why advertise? I notice you don't post pictures of yourself either. Although, I am not sure you have the rights to Cooper's picture. If you want to see one, wait for about a month and they will be in the stores in VA. The story I posted can be checked by a quick phone call, if you are having doubts. For the record I do not work for Top Gun or SCCY.

Sorry if I was too sensitive. I have been spending way to much time arguing with libs and I guess I forgot where I was. I have adopted a policy of not posting pics of guns. There are too many ways it can come back to bite you.

Wasn't doubting your account at all, just genuinely wanted to see some pics of your gun.

And I understand fully some folks not wanting to post pics of their firearms. No problem.

Like you not really having a CPX-3. The whole thing is a hoax.

Some people won't show pics of their gun (i.e. The CPX-3) because they don't actually have it. This CPX-3 crap has to end. It's a hoax. I've NEVER seen one of these things in a gun store display case, or any gun show I've been to either. I know not one person who owns one. I don't even know one person that knows one person who owns one. Some gun stores haven't even heard of it. SCCY announced the CPX-3 about two or three years ago yet no one has seen one yet! At this point you have to say the whole thing is BS. Let's stop pretending.

I think the poster claiming to have the mythical CPX-3 (unicorn standard issue) doth protest a bit much!

Ever since my search for a smaller CC and stumbling across the new CPX3 I've been waiting. Seen several supposed release dates but so far haven't found it available anywhere.

Picked up a Handgunner mag today and saw a ad for it as if it was available. Anyone know anything???
Stop looking for it. It's a hoax. Apparently SCCY did something like this years ago by promising some new pistol that never materialized.

Had my hands on a Remington R51 a few days ago. Man, I really love the feel of that gun! I really do. But, I'm gun-shy, (pun intended). Too many failures shipped straight from the company. Okay... this is about the CPX-3, not the R51. Well I mentioned the R51 because I'm positive that SCCY would rather have a late release on the CPX-3 than to have to endure what Remington did. I suspect that's why there's a delay in production. (There's a possibility that SCCY has seen the Beretta Pico .32 ACP advertising and we haven't seen that option for a .32 ACP barrel materialize either! Last I checked their site, a .32 option isn't even mentioned.) I wrote SCCY yesterday and asked them about the CPX-3. Whatever they respond with, if anything, will be forwarded to THR. Let's hope it's positive information.
Remington fixed the R-51 quality issues and it is now a really good gun. Don't be afraid. It shoots just like they say it does. Save for a horrible takedown and reassembly the R-51 is way better than anything SCCY would ever produce. Speaking of which, the CPX-3 was announced like two or three years ago, but it still isn't in store display cases? It's a hoax. Forget about it. You won't find one.
