I usually use Lapua but I'm pushing about 20 reloads per case on my 308 and figured I'd order some more brass.

I ordered some of the Sig Sauer brass. For $22 per 50ct I figured it was worth a try.

Anyone try this brass? How's the consistency? I'll find out soon enough, I'm just curious what your experience has been.

Thanks.

Also does anyone know if this stuff is rebranded? Or if Sig actually makes it.

I have bought it in both .223 (yeah, I know - who buys brass for that with so much on the ground for free) and .243 Win.

It's not Lapua, but it's good brass, IMHO. The prices I paid were the same as for Winchester brass and the SIG is WAY better than that. I'd also take it over Hornady (based on the last couple of lots of .243 I purchased of that). It's much more consistent weight wise (if that matters to you) and I have yet to find any cases in the bags that had to be tossed due to defects.

And every single bag has had at least one extra "bonus" case.

I bought some factory loaded 300blk of the Sig Elite. I had seven split necks on the first box. No other brand has had that issue so maybe a bad batch?

Must not be many users of the Sig stuff lol.

I wasn't going to reply since I don't load for rifle, but I have tried it in 45acp.

I bought the brass new, and found it had a very consistent feel while sizing. Priming was very easy and also pretty consistent. Seating and crimping same again. Good neck tension. All rounds passed the plunk and twist in my barrel.

I've since loaded them a couple more times, and they still load and function just fine. I was concerned at the first loading that the primer pockets might become loose with just a few loadings, but it hasn't happened yet.

Not rifle brass, but my impression of their overall quality is good.

HTH.
