Looking at possibly buying one and just looking for some feedback. I don't need anything fancy like a Labradar, etc.

Fantastic chrono IMO. I'm on my 2nd one because I managed to murder the first one. If you end up doing the same the company will replace it/fix it for half the price of a new one.

I love the app, it's super helpful. I usually open the app and put my phone in its holster on my belt like a shot timer. If it's cold out I put my phone in an upper jacket pocket. That way I can hear each velocity call-out and I don't have to stop.

I love mine. Works great for everything I've shot over it. App works great, I like how it tells you the velocity of each shot. I'd definitely get another if this one ever dies.

Cool, they've integrated Bluetooth into the unit. I have the older Bluetooth strap-on version. I like it alot.

I have the older model where the BT is a add on. Works good, no complaints. I've had mine for 5-6 yrs now. The phone app is very good, gives you a lot of options as well as attaching a photo to the string.

I have the older version as well. No Bluetooth or other linky stuff

It works perfectly.

I have one and it works great. The Bluetooth and app are really handy and work great. Would definitely recommend one.

all the time. it replaced my shooting chrony that died of old age (not lead poisoning) after more than fifteen years of dedicated service. i don't use the bluetooth feature, but i could. i like the "dup" feature and have actually had a couple duplicate shots.

no problems so far and i am totally satisfied with this product.

luck,

murf

I have one and it won't connect to my iPhone 11pro max bluetooth. But it will connect to my old iPhone 6 max. I don't get why the newer iPhone won't work when the old one will. Any suggestions. I downloaded the Digital Link app on both phones, on the old one to see if there was a difference and it works. But the new one won't attach to the bluetooth. Is the APP too old to use the three year old phone with a new IOS 15.1?

Mine wouldn't connect to my phone till I turned my GPS on, then it connected instantly.... Connects right away no matter what now.

My iPhone is a 11 but not the pro model. I have no problems connecting. Go into settings, BT and remove it, if it's listed and try to connect. This normally fixes most BT problems.

Thanks for the reply. I have used your solution for other BT apps and it usually works like you say. What is weird is that the app works on my old iPhone 6. I looked at the BT list on that phone when BT was connected, and it doesn't even show up. The App says to not even try to connect thru the phone's BT function because the app connects by itself when it is open and the chrono is turned on. But it just doesn't work at all on the iPhone 11. It just keeps spinning and says the "bluetooth function is not enabled" which it is for a long list of other BT gizmos that I use.

After leaving this chrono on the shelf for a couple of years hoping the app would be updated for the newer iphone, I am finally trying it again. I found that I am able to export an excel file from the iPhone6 (which still accesses my wifi, just isn't enabled to make phone calls) to the email on my computer and then load it into Excel to work with it. That is my workaround for now and will have to do for now.

So far, no response from Digital link from the email I sent to them on their website.

Next day update: The competition electronics guy emailed me this morning. He suggested I look for the permissions in settings for the Digital Link app. I did and they were off. I turned them on and it connected. So if you have that problem like I did, don't give up on it, like I did, and try that. I should have contacted them before (Kicking myself).

How low can you go!?! Bottom plastic came apart, smacked it back together and still works great!

Used mine only a few times thus far. Has worked great. I control it from my tablet via the built in Bluetooth. I think it's picked up every shot across it so far, including 22LR, 38 Special, 45 Auto, 22-250, and perhaps a few others. Recommended.

I have one and it has performed flawlessly. I also bought the lighting system for indoor shooting. Highly recommended.

I borrowed a friend's caldwell chrono last year and liked having the ability to measure velocity so much I had to get my own. I got the pro chrono dlx and like it much better than the Caldwell.

It looks great! I am looking into a chrono but having a hard time finding a tripod for chronos Can you tell me what brand you bought.......Thanks

Really like my prochrono DLX. No issues at all with the unit or the app.

As far as tripods, look for an old surveyors tripod, or a contractor’s tripod. Get something with a lot of weight that won’t tip over in windy conditions. Used ones are cheap.

I have the original? (2012 purchase) Pro Chrono - and bought the laptop USB interface device. It has worked well. Survived a guide wire hit from a 460XVR - the wire did not but the chrono did. And, it now has a 223 scar longitudinally across the top. Still works well, purchased new a guide wire set after the 460 talked to it.

I do like the BT connectivity in the new one. Beats running a cable and taking a laptop to the range. Will likely pick one up.

Anyone have an issue with the pro Chronograph Bluetooth saying not supported?

I know it helps to get the bullet closer to the sensors, but it doesn't need to be quite THAT close;)

I just ordered one and it should arrive tomorrow. My previous chrony was a Caldwell Ballistic Precision that was ruthlessly murdered by a hot 38 Special's 158 gr LSWC at nearly 950 fps. It was OK but I has to use the cord to attach it to my phone to get full data. I think I'll use my new Pro Chrono more because set up should be easier with Blue Tooth.
