Specifically I am wanting to know:

1. It is advertised as being notched so you can see your iron sights, but how easy is it going to be to see my rifled sights if I dont want to use my scope? I dont like using my scope if the deer is too close in a brushy situation.

2. Does this mount keep its zero pretty good after firing?

Any other thoughts on this mount would be well appreciated....

I just put one on my 870, but haven't had it to the range yet. My 870 is the 18" barrel job I bought for home defense, and I wanted a better sighting system than just using the flat top on the receiver and the front bead sight.
It's made VERY well, and attaches to the receiver with two screws that replace the pins that are normally in there.
I think the question of keeping zeroed would depend more on what kind of sight you had on the gun rather than the M87 mount itself.
It's rock-solid on the gun.
Yes, it's notched down the top of the rail, and it sticks up far enough that I can still use the flat on the receiver and front bead if I want to.
Don't know if this helps you any, but the rail itself is very study, and nicely machined.

My complaint is that the finishing edges are really sharp. I used to shoot with my trigger finger resting against the receiver - not sure if that is bad form but with the UTG mount it is a bloody situation. My trigger finger has gouged badly 3x now. I run it with a cheap reflex sight and am now considering ditching the setup and going to barrel mounted rifle sights. If I stay with the UTG I will grind some friendlier radius on the lower back mounting area. Not sure what I will do yet.

I ended up buying this and using it for deer season. No complaints whatsoever. I have not shot since deer season to see if it maintained a tight zero, but i doubt it has moved. I put a lot of rounds through it prior to season with no issues. Very pleased for the money spent, easy to install. Thanks all.
