Yeah, I watched it live and thought the same thing when that nutty old bat said that. I just wish one of the other Senators would have called her out on it...

Well now I know why politicians want to ban guns. Surely they would be the first to get stuffed and mounted on a wall.

Seriously though, with the things that come out of their mouths, it makes sense why they do not trust anyone else with a gun. All projection.

In all seriousness, this raises a pretty big issue.

I work in local law enforcement. We have to be extremely careful of what we say to the citizenry because we can't be seen as giving legal advice, moral advice etc. because of our status as being viewed as representatives of the govt.

Now in recent weeks we have had the VP of the United States tell citizens to fire off both barrels of a shotgun into the air if they hear a bump in the night, and a senior Senator from the most populous state in the union state that hunting humans is legal (as long as you use the correct size magazine). As a beat cop, if I had been videotaped saying these things my job would be in jeopardy.

What is going on in Washington?
 
The more she speaks, the nuttier she looks. Doesn't she have a permit to carry? If so, it's time she loses it because she has clearly lost her mind.

Limiting magazine capacity is critical because it is when a criminal, a drug dealer, a deranged individual has to pause to change magazines and reload that the police or brave bystanders have the opportunity to take that individual down.

Take them down with what? A pair of scissors? A stapler? Perhaps a sturdy book? Oh, I know, a non locking, non molder grip, 1/2" high. 2.6" long knife.

As bat guano crazy as she is, there are people who are nodding their heads in agreement as if she is the smartest person on the planet.

Sadly, she isn't getting worse, she's always been this bad (i.e. out of her tiny little mind). And yet my fellow :)barf:) Californians keep re-electing her.
 
With the amount of people in that state the tags are going to be super cheap...

In all seriousness, with comments like this, it's a wonder she wasn't straightjacketed and hauled out of the building.

Therein lies the problem (their fear), and the solution, but for the restraint of good men.
 
Back in the 1950`s I looked at an old magazine at some relative`s house. It showed a reprint & translation of a cartoon that first appeared in a German newspaper. I remember it was translated as Little Father`s hunting camp. Little father was what the Russians called Josef Stalin. On a wall were mounted trophy heads of Stalin`s enemies!
Some of the posts in this thread remind me of that ancient cartoon!:)
 
The problem is that she gets into a different positions.

Not enough people know she was the mayor of San Fransico starting in the late 70s through the late 80s for 3 terms.

Then, she almost became the Govenor of CA in 1990 but lost by less than 5% to the last decent CA Govenor has had, Pete Wilson.

After losing the Govenor race, she played to her base and got elected in to Legislator service in the early 90's and has been there ever since.

Being a Legislator has been the worst because she has been able to have herself heard by more people (sheeple) which has allowed her mindless drivel to spread. :barf:
 
I'm hoping if she keeps this up, she will so discredit herself, that none of her bills will even be considered.

This woman needs to be committed.

This is a perfect example of forced retirement for anyone in public service. I don't know her age but I bet it's time to collect her Social Security.

She's too much of a zealot to be shamed. The people who should be ashamed of themselves rarely are.
 
I was there when she started off as a city council person, then mayor. That was ok, SF was already a lost cause. Then her run for Governor, we were very glad to have Pete win. But then the fools elected her to the senate, Calif has been doomed since.

Boxer is just as bad.

The Calif of my parents and theirs and my youth is long gone. The gold has tarnished.
