Does anybody know the approximate value of a stainless Colt Commander in .38 Super? How rare is the .38 Super Commander? I heard somewhere that Colt actually still makes a few in this caliber. The gun is supposedly in excellent condition almost like new. Not a new production, my guess would be it's at least ten years old from what I'm told.

Any help or guestimations are appreciated.

I paid $425 for mine though obviously not stainless. Came with two Wilson mags and 100 rounds of Silverpoints. Also came with a nice trigger job and a non-fitted magwell though I had to pick up properly relieved grips.

Colt made Series 80 Commanders in stainless from 1992 to 1997, so there should be a reasonable number of them out there. Certainly going to be more scarce than the 45 ACP version, but they are out there.

I have a series 80 MK IV Combat Commander in .38 Super, stainless.
I thought about selling it a few months back and was told that it was probably worth between $500 and $550 tops.
