Well the title says it all. Didnt think it was possible, but I was just going through my parts drawer for my budget build AR-10 (PSA Gen 3 AR-10 kit) and mine was set up with a classic A2 front sight with Delta ring and drop in handguards. I found an old UTG Pro handguard from a few moons ago for an AR-15. Well I'll be a monkey's uncle if that thing didnt just drop in on the Delta ring.
Checked and the locking studs index with the barrel nut on the top and bottom hanguard. Gas tube isnt pinched or anything. My question is, is it alright to run it like this? Seems okay to me but figured I'd ask the experts. Thing is locked in snug. Top pic rail extension is actually snug against the delta ring. I dont want to use the rail for optics or anything, just for the bipod and grip in the pictures.
