after having having an acog i switched to a 2.5x10 NF for roughly the same money and do not regret the switch, the acog was nice but the variable NF suits me much better, but if you insist with one of the two i would go acog. a couple guys i know have the eo techs with red dots and it is somewhat bulky/ awkward in fact one of them bought my acog when i sold it.
