Its funny you should say that about the baking because I thought the same thing. I called rus toleum and asked them if I was reading the instructions correctly and they said yes that the temp and time.

Brownell's Aluma-Hyde II will air dry in four to seven days, but can be dried in the oven. Heat speeds up the drying time. I put the parts in the oven, set at 150 and turn it on. Once the oven reaches temperature, I shut it off and leave the parts in till it cools down. Within 2 hours I can use the parts.
