AR build ideas

My next one I'm getting tempted on a 6 mm mongoose, in a varmint rig setup. The ability to use heavier(longer) grain weights than 85 is a draw to me.
But I load for 6 mm/243 anyway, so a autoloader that shares components is good.

If you don't handload your options are not as many.
there are good caliber choices, but finding the one that really appeals to you is the difficult part.

Well my AR right now is fairly trim. Not ultra light but certainly not cumbersome and loaded with doodads.

A heavy 6.5 Grendel is really looking appealing.

How about 204 ruger? Have you looked at the ballistics on that round. It's actually really neat and fun to shoot. Blazing fast and packs quite a punch for its size.

Also, ever considered a pistol cartridge? My step brother built and canned a 45 sbr that is a dream to shoot. There's some videos on YouTube of them if you want to take a peak. Rock River upper using glock mags and Knights Armament can up front. It's quieter than 300blk, much more readily available and cheaper.
