I've found myself in an interesting predicament. I've been going a bit crazy in regards to ARs the past 2 years. I currently have 5 rifles:
- 6.5 Grendel for target and hunting (hopefully)
- 20" scoped (3-9x40) rifle in 5.56
- 18" scoped rifle (1-4x) rifle in 5.56 -- Black Hole Weaponry barrel
- 16" scoped rifle (10x fixed) rifle in .223 Wylde -- RRA upper
- 16" rifle with Vortex Strikefire II -- relatively light weight
I'm finding that I don't have the time to shoot all these rifles. Only two of them are even sighted in. I'm really considering consolidating rifles right now. I've got a coyote hunting setup for future use, a Plano case with custom foam insert that lets me store my 6.5 Grendel with the 1-4x scoped upper in a single spot. I can also see myself either ditching the 20" rifle or the .223 Wylde upper and opting for swapping lowers instead of having a dedicated lower for each rifle.
Part of this line of thinking is that I'm starting to get interested in milsurp rifles again and would love to get another K31 and maybe a 1903. The only downside is that the AR market is so saturated right now that its unlikely I'd be able to unload anything without significant losses on my end...
But hey, I guess this isn't that much of a problem, right? I mean, how can one have too many guns?
