Ar15 7.62x39 mags

Any recommendations for five and twenty round magazines for an ar 15 chambered in 7.62x39? I bought an ar stoner mag from midway and not real satisfied with it. What are your favorites? Thanks Bob

I've had good luck with c-products and ASC. I usually use 10 and 30 rounders though.

I think 5 rounders are just 10 rounders with a 5rd spring or spacer.

DuraMag 20 rounder for the 7.62x39 AR15. I use the 30 round version with few problems.

And just to clarify, C Products Defense or CPD is now called Duramag.
That's what I run, the smooth teflon finish works well with polycoated steel case ammo.

If you use a 30-rd. mag. you might consume more ammo per session?

In my former AKMs and present VZ-58 (4,500 rds. went through this), I load about 5-10 rds. at a time. Gradual shots and frequent mag reloads don't violate anybody's "company ops manual".

Quite frankly I'm too old to fight in Ukraine against the Orc Invaders, so it's about having relaxed fun. Don't want to burn thru my 9,000 rds. of this chambering too fast.

The only ones I use is C-Product & Dura mags because the Dura mag is made by C-Product. I found that out by buying a mag in a Dura mag package & it was a C-Product mag when I got the package open. I only have 3 30 rounders & one 10 round mag.
