After seeing my bolt rifles do group-smackdown on my RR AR15 I decided to try something new and different. I picked up a Wilson Combat Super Sniper 20" stainless barrel and had my 'smith do a barrel change.
Got it out to the range today and went through the break-in regimen on the 100 yard lane. I could tell even with gun show bulk this one was going to be a good shooter. After shoot-clean-shoot-clean and scope adjustment I settled down to see about a 5-shot group. I'd had good luck with Black Hills 68 grain Match King Re-Manufactured so that's what I used. The target dots were used up so I went for the NRA logo; it's 1/2" diameter.
I was quite pleased with the result, the rifle is soft-shooting, accurate, albeit heavy, but it's a range tool for me. Figured I'd share a few pics with the good folks here at THR.
