I just bought a low end AR15 that came without sights. The rail is short, with a standard plastic forestock and a low profile gas block that is lower than the receiver rail. It seems every sight I find is made for level rails. Are there iron sights available that address the uneven rail level problem? What terms are used to describe these sights in ads? Any recommendations. I know I can't put polymer on the gas block. New to the AR world. Thanks

Run an adapter, or change the gas block.
Or maybe use a Magpul handguard and put something on top of that (slotted for acc rails)?

I run a reg front sight assembly on my 16" rigs.
If scoped, it "disappears" around 4X.

"gas block mounted front sight" by Midwest Industries, Troy, GGG, others. These will be taller than a "same plane" front sight.
