Nuttin Pure CZ Lovin!

The biggest complaint I have about CZ's is my total and complete lacking of every single model that they make. :banghead:

P-01, oh how can I count the ways I treasure thou? :p
Shadow sure does bring the light into the darkness. :D
CZ75 Pre-B is my preciousss, they are trixie and can't haves its!! :neener:
CZ97BSS - Watch your back I am hunting you down right now... :scrutiny:
Damn CZ and it's poisonous ability to vector some kind of drug into your system and get you hooked!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta catch em all, I does: RAMI, CZ52, CZ70, etc.

Just how many more guys do you two want to 'corrupt' with that lousey 40B...

schmeky... stick to those S&Ws

And bs... when you get a 'new toy'(PB) you 'run-it-to-death!'... I though you already knew I love this 'graphic-stuff'!... and I'm gettin old, and it takes VERY LITTLE to amuse me!

PB?

this weekend at the IPSC match i'm debating whether or not to throw the comp hammer into my fiance's sp-01 and shoot that in limited, or perhaps run your son's "old" 40b, take a video, and teach him a lesson! :D

I've never heard a legitimate complaint about them - and I cannot say that about any other gun maker!

Leadcounsel, here is a legitimate complaint: With a live round chambered, I cannot retract the slide of my P01 by hand. I have to put the muzzle into a bench block and push the gun down forcefully.

Any ideas on what might be causing this problem???

The gun runs fine and is very accurate, but the trigger stinks.

coyotehm... Don't know how you bought your P-01 (NIB, used, etc.), but I would IMMEDIATELY call CZ-CS (MikeE or MattH) tell them your problem, get a RA# and ship that baby back to them for warranty-work ASAP!!!

I have seven CZs and have probably fired, in total, well over 10,000+rnds and have basically had FLAWLESS GUNS... I mean it!! Last week, ordered a CZ 40P, which JAMMED on my FIRST shot, in my FIRST mag... WOW!... It proceeded to do so thru the entire 150 rnds... was 'pissed!!' Called CZ (Mike) told him about the problems... could be Mags, could be feed-ramp, etc... sending me out new Mags (swapping), if that doesn't work, will polish the feedramp etc. Did I like having this FIRST CZ problem... NO!!! But as we all know, ****happens and what's important is how a Company reacts and works to make it right!

They're 'good people' over there at CZ and VERY helpful!! Give 'em a shot and tell 'em your story... sure they'll fix it right! With ANY gun you buy there is a potential for problems... that's what warranties are for!

.

My CZ kadet kit on my CZ75 goes with me everytime I hit the range.

I'm in the process of deciding on which gun to ge when I get my CHL. CZ RAMI or a compact CZ with a safety.

I have one too - FTF's. FTE's. jams, etc...40P's are notorious for this. Your 2nd range trip won't be a whole lot better than the first. You are going to have to put about 65 bucks in upgrades to get it to run reliably. The most important is getting a SS guide rod, and a 18# recoil spring, a HD ejector spring and new +5 mag springs. Pull the ejector out and very lightly stone both sides. Then polish the ramp. After that, your problems will disappear.

hornsmoker,

Obviously the average owner would not or could not do what you suggest. I have little doubt your recommendations are right. CZ should make this right, like anything else, they have problems.

I know my SP had 3 stove-pipes in 1,000 rounds. Was cleaning the SP one evening and figured I would clean the mag as well. I noticed the mag follower would stop about 1/8-3/16" from the top of the mag body at times. Removed the follower and saw a high spot on the follower. I lightly sanded this spot and the follower then popped into position sharply every time.

800 more rounds later and I have not had a single bobble.

I was just at a CCW class this week and the instructor said the he would not recommend a CZ to anyone. He went on to say that the newer production models have a problem with slide stops or something like that breaking and that it takes a year to get repair parts. I told him that I have heard nothing but praise for the guns and he said he would not take one as a gift. Anyone had or heard of this type of breakage?

Don't limit your self to CZ pistols... I started with a CZ452 .22 target rifle and liked it so much bought a 9mm CZ75B. First magazine went into a palm sized group at 7 yards. I ordered a kadet kit and it works perfectly. Just bought another rifle. CZ's are a great value, and unfortunately addicting.

lol. parts certainly don't take a year, cz-usa is very fast from what i've read and heard from people who dealt with them. as for the broken slide stops... i'm 16k and rising, no problems here. ask the rest of the uspsa shooters going through 1-2k rounds/month with their "newer" CZs.

This one is a military job I got new for 320 bucks around 8 years ago. It has a lot of miles on it on horseback and still looks like new. I really dont notice the trigger reach being much differant than most any other DA auto. To me it seems shorter than the basic Beretta 92.

I don't know if CZs are the be all and end all of pistols but they are fit your hand well are accurate and solidly built. They sell for a price that makes them a great value. I have many of them and will buy more.I have broken a slide stop on one and it was out of commision until I replaced it. If I could only keep one gun it would be a 75b.
