I am thinking about buying a Glock to keep around the house for defense and for a woods gun. I am torn between a 9mm or 45ACP. I know that with recent advances in ammunition technology the 9mm has adequate stopping power but I still have more confidence in the stopping power of the 45 ACP. It will only be used for home defense and walking the trails and creeks in the woods. Does anyone else find themselves torn between the two for defense?
Well anyway, if I buy the 9mm it likely will be the G17 or G19. If I buy a 45, I can not decide which model, so I am looking for opinions based on your experience(s) with various 45 models. The G36 is out as I rented one and could not hit the broad side of a barn with it or control it well. My hands are on the small side of medium, so anyway what would be your suggestion for the stated purposes for a 45 Glock?
