I bought another PA-63 today for $130. Ran a box of Fiochi through it without a hiccup. I don't really knwo another steel gun that can be had for less than $200 and every one I have ever seen has been flawless.
Canik/Tristar. Tristar imports some Canik pistols, made in Turkey.
Canik 55 Stingray imported by Century is my top pick. All steel, adjustable sights, ambi-controls, magaziness made by Mecgar. Greatshooters, accurate and dependable Inexpensive but not cheap.
They can be very accurate. I recently bought a tactical version (the lightweight one, not the heavy barrel version), and it is just as accurate as my highly customized bull barrel 10/22. Even the stock trigger rivals my super slick custom trigger. As with any guns, each unofficial gun can vary, but the Rugers seem to be pretty consistently good these days.
My 1st revolver was used, under the glass at Gander Mt. for $275, just about 7 years ago. Had no idea who the maker was but it was in decent shape and I had always wanted a .44 mag.. The prices was right for ME and I've loved that Dan Wesson every time I shoot her. 5" fixed barrel.
I'll have to agree with those who have mentioned the Stoeger Cougar and the SIG Pro 2022. The Cougar is an excellent pistol in my opinion, especially considering the cost new. I got my 2022 used but it is also an excellent handgun for the money.
