Are these new solid copper 9mm bullets a game-changer for carbines?

I think those new lehigh defense solids could be very useful in a carbine they leave a wound channel similar to a HP and have no chance of failing to expand. Side note my local PD carries 65gr 40 cal in their service pistols.

While Craig is not correct on some things he is right about rifle and pistol bullets operate differently.
Both the first half and second half of your sentence are true.
 
a 50gr bullet going 2500 fps packs a punch....
So it's a 5.7x28 with worse sectional density? Not like over penetration is an issue with that round.
