Dawg - that's a sexy GP100.

Deanimator - they make GP100's WITHOUT the underlug. ;)

As for the "billboard" - I can see a little project with black or silver solder to fill in the lettering, and some buffing to make it all pretty mirror-like.

The zit-locks, though, I don't pay any nevermind to. Haven't had one lock up on me, and won't care until it does.

Dr Law,

In all fairness I should have limited my initial remark to "ambulance chasing, bottom feeding, personal injury lawyers like John Edwards." There are many fine lawyers who are decent citizens in other areas of legal practice and academia.

Don't worry, no offense taken. I am one of the few lawyers I know of who likes lawyer jokes.

It does rankle me that we have gone so backward in common sense in the last 50 years. I mentioned Marching Morons. For those who like science fiction, that is a title of a story that is coming pretty close to life as it is today.

Warnings on everything because of some moron or twelve morons sitting together. (sigh)

Ah well, better stop before I get worked up. :D

The Doc is out now.

Taurus also has an internal lock on their revolvers. And I thought Rugers had internal locks on their revolvers too now. I know the New Vaquero does, underneath the grips.

The worst thing S&W has done is that Internal Lock thing, and at least I can understand what they said (They would rather be put out of business by their customers than by Clinton). The first thing that stands out in my mind for Ruger is the High Capacity Magazine Ban, and what he said just pisses me off (No honest man needs more than 10 rounds).

"Taurus Security System (TSS)rs
Taurus family of semi-auto pistols all feature the Taurus Security System, which provides instant-ready defense with built-in ability to secure your pistol and make it inoperable at the turn of a key. When the Security System is engaged, the pistol cannot be fired or cocked and the gun's manual safety cannot be disengaged. As with our revolver Security System, the device is part of the firearm and cannot be lost, and the same special Security Key works for both the revolver and pistol Systems (two keys come with each gun). To engage: simply insert the Key into the button on the rear or side of the pistol and rotate one-quarter turn clockwise. This engages the Security System. The manual safety cannot be moved and the trigger cannot be pulled. To disengage: simply rotate the key one-quarter turn back. This releases the Security System, yet leaves the pistol's manual safety in the "safe" position until you are ready to release it yourself and fire the gun."
