I've been reloading for half a century so I was in fair shape going into the last shortage but in an effort to keep from depleting my stash I bought a couple blackpowder revolvers. Loads of fun! Picked up a round ball mold, tinkered with making my own powder and even bought one of those cap making kits.
Use times like this to expand your horizons, if you don't reload, buy a reloading kit and learn how. Most guys that reload will help you get started and maybe even have a few extra components if needed.
No bullets, learn how to cast and powder coat. Casting is one of the cheapest of the shooting hobbies to get into. Get a few aluminum molds for your common calibers.
Save everything, brass, old primers, fired 22 cases, lead wheelweights found in the parking lot, all of it can be used with a little imagination or possibly used for barter.
My point is, just because the shelves aren't full of 9mm and. 556 doesn't meant your days of shooting are over, maybe their just getting started.
