Picked one of these up today. Pretty cool, super light weight, but one damn UGLY gun! It's in great shape, gummy action needs thorough cleaning.

Does anyone have a link to the manual?

Is this thing safe to shoot? Is the barrel aluminum?

It is begging for some gunkote:)

Anyone know if other stocks i.e. Remington will fit.

Thanks,
Dave

Yup, aluminum barrel not unlike those funky AR-7s had. I'd say "safe to shoot" is relative to PO treatment and feeding.

As for the stocks - I'd doubt it but pulling yours and comparing at a gunshow might go a long way to figuring it out.

I'd also test cleaners before widespread use on the anodizing and the fiberglass (plastic?).

Thanks, but already tried the Armalite route, CS guy was actually very knowledgeable and helpful, buy it was not THE Armalite!

Kinda reminds me of my Dad's Browning BDA.

A couple of things.....

In all my decades of Shotgunning, I've seen exactly one of these.IIRC, less than 2K were made, possibly 1200 as said above this post. With those numbers, this may be more of a collector's shotgun than a shooter.

And the number of qualified smiths who know how to work on these must be diminishing like my hopes of enlightened, fair and objective government.

Finally, the thing weighs around 4.6 lbs. Kick with anything heavier than 3/4 oz will be brutal.

Still, enjoy it as much as you can.......
