You can get a Stag lower and Stag upper (A3) for about $750ish. All you need is the pins. Stag arms are built on the same line as Colt and are MilSpec to a T.

CMT mills Stag receivers from forgings they purchased elsewhere, just like they make MGI and S&W receivers. The fact that they are all built by CMT doesn't mean they are all built to the same specs though. CMT will mill to whatever specs they are given by the manufacturer.
I'm really curious where so many of you were able to shoot HK 416s or Sig 556s.
Sig 556s aren't shipping yet. To my knowledge there is one (1) HK 416 upper in circulation in civillian hands.
Bart, I don't know if CMT mills to the same levels on their Stag brand, but I've sold a ton of Stag rifles, uppers, and lowers, and they have all been excellent, and I've yet to have anybody bring one back with any sort issue at all. (can't say the same for Bushmaster).
I really like the Armalite AR180. It never became popular. I never had a single problem with it. Light-weight, no recoil, takes AR mags, accurate, and $550.
I've actually heard better things about the CMT/Stag brand than I have the S&W brand. I just wanted to point out that CMT mills it to whatever specs the customer demands. Different customers may have different priorities regarding price and quality.
Ok guys, I dont have access to those uppers/lowers, & honestly I would probably screw it up anyway! So specifically which models of these two ar's would you recomend and why????
