I keep updated on this gun, and I anxiously await its introduction into the market. FYI, the video doesn't mention that they are making a semi-auto variant for civvies.
I think the biggest argument i'll get against this decision is from the pistol-caliber AR crowd. I have a 5.56 AR carbine that I love, but I want something that's buffer tube-less and integrally suppressed. and one of the variants they have fits the bill. Frankly, I would want one in .45, but even the 9mm would be very cool when suppressed and topped with a good red dot. The integrally suppressed on is VERY cool, how the suppressor baffles themselves are known as the "flash suppressor", so you can pick up one without it being NFA until you decide to get the "sleeve" that converts the "flash hider" into a functioning suppressor.
Also, I just want something that's different. IMO, the pistol-caliber AR's just don't seem right (they're a lot like a Mustang/Camaro/Challenger with a V6, i'm sure i'll make a lot of people angry with that comment ), and the Hi-Points and Beretta CX4's just don't do it for me. I'm sure they're all fantastic, but I don't think i'm alone on this one. Granted the MSRP is ridiculous (something like $2100, but that's including a carbon fiber foregrip and a Sig red dot, which I know are not cheap), but I think this would be a wonderful little rifle. I'm still under the impression that they WILL come out a with a .45 eventually if this takes off at all (which I hope it will), and a .45 carbine with a fully collapsible stock, integrally suppressed, red dot and will have minimal problems feeding and throwing "Flying Shotglass" .45ACP hollowpoints will just OOZE with coolness.
What are your thoughts? Am i wasting my breath, or are you pining for one like me?
