Looking for a little information about an old ASM Baby Dragoon, mostly about how rare (or common) it may be. I know I do not have any pictures to post tonight, but if they are needed I can post a few. Here is the basics of the gun that I know of.

Late 1960's I want to say 1968 or 1969(need to look at the roman numberals)
ASM 1848/1849 Baby Dragoon, serial number 2222
Steel frame with square backed brass trigger gaurd
6 inch Barrel w/o loading lever
5 shot .31 cal w/scene etched in cyl. (I believe cowboys and indians, but Im
not looking at it to know for sure this minutes, maybe a stagecoach)
Wooden Cased Set in 6/10 condition green felt lining (key missing)
Powder flask
nipple wrench
bullet mold

I have only seen 1 picture of this gun on http://rprca.tripod.com/ does anyone have further information?

You might find on a gun that old that the internal springs and parts are metric and so if you try to find a replacement for say.. a bolt spring, you might have a difficult time.

This is true on two 2nd Model Dragoons. One is an Uberti, the other an ASM. Both have low numbers and are from the 60's- 70's time frame. They use bolt springs similar to the walker bolt spring but are larger.

It was explained to me that it wasn't until Colt made the contracts with the italian manufacturers, that they began using standard american measurements which they have kept doing until today.

Cabela's Offered me $150 for a trade in as-is, or $200 if I can find a screw for the barrel wedge. Deer Creak had the screw and figured I'd put a new trigger and bolt while I was at it, both were kinda sloppy. Does that sound like a fair trade price?

Looking to sell or trade my ASM Baby Dragoon towards a used Uberti 1858 Rem.. Trigger is a bit sloppy and worn like I posted before, but fires with out a problem. I'd like it to go to a good home and to someone who doesnt mind giving it a little TLC. I would be glad to email detailed pictures to give the best description possible. Comes with wood case, powder flask, bullet mould, nipple wrench, all as pictured. If anyone has interest let me know, Thanks
