Armi San Marco used numerous makers marks during the 4+ decades they were in business. They ranged from the common 'Armi San Marco' to the intertwined ASM and included 'ASM'; 'A.S.M.', 'SM'; 'San Marco', 'S Marco' and a logo with 'Arm San' over a sunburst (?)and 'Marco' below. Below are some pictures of ASM markings. If anyone has pictures of ASM markings I don't have here; please add them.

ASM markings can be found on the barrel top, sides, or bottoms, and the Left side or bottom of frames.

Thanks for posting these. My two ASM Walkers only have "ASM" very, very lightly, nearly invisibly roll stamped on the bottom of the barrel hidden under the loading lever...no other ASM marks on the frame at all. One is a very limited release Whittington Arms commemorative "First Regiment Texas Mounted Volunteers" (mine is TMV016 - I think as few as 100 cased sets were made by ASM for Lt. Col. R.L. Whittington, AFAIK, to celebrate the publishing of his seminal book regarding the history of the Colt Whitneyville Walker Revolving Pistol). The other has "close but no ceegar" Colt's barrel marks which are identical to the 2nd gen Walkers. Fit and finish of these two Walkers is equal to or exceeds that of the Colt 2nd gens. I think ASM made replicas with Colt's barrel markings on Walkers and a few 1860 Army models. I havent heard of any ASM Dragoons or Navys with Colt's barrel marks, but I am always on the lookout for ASMs marked thusly.

Sorry, no Second Gen Walker mould. Wish I did.

I have an ASM stainless steel 1860 Army from 1985 that has the "ASM - Blackpowder only - made in Italy" on the underside of the barrel so light that you can hardly make anything out. You have to use a magnifying glass & light at just the right angle. Have seen pictures of an 1862 Pocket Police in SS with the same faint markings and a 1991 date code.

^^ Fingers, I'll drag out thre three Rischardson/ASM 1860's and the Walker later and have a look to add to your data.

I think it's a good piece. I just got home and have a few hours free, I'll shoot some pics and start a thread and we can poke at it a bit.
