They are a well known menace

They are used by insurgents and rebel groups all around the world

They are cheap to produce

They are made from only a few simple parts

They have been mass produced by "blood merchants" in the industrial world

Our government and rival governments have long used these weapons to obtain favor and alliance from locals who are far too irresponsible to trust with them.

Their effect now stretches across the land, as groups armed with these weapons push back those who do not yet have them.

They are frequently included in bargains to rob naive natives of their valuable land and mineral rights

They have been responsible for the deaths of thousands of our own soldiers. Particularly in the most recent international conflict. The role they played in the shameful ambush of our retreating men is well known.

They are so easy and intuitive to operate a young child can use one.

They are very popular among those who labor for us overseas, and there is every indication they will be turned on us by these "allies" in outright rebellion.

In short, we must stop the trade of these barbaric tools of death!

The year is 1765, and I speak of the trade musket.

interesting history. Who said it?

I put it together based on the historical events to illustrate the fact that all the claims made against the AK-47 and similar "evil" weapons could have been applied in exactly the same way to oppose arming natives and the colonials.

Yeah,,,,and in an effort to curtail the threat of armed insurgency, the British brought forth that very basic of terror weapons, the hand grenade,,,,,,,,,

I wonder if the Brady bunch or Handgun Control Inc. ever checks out these kind of blogs?

Right on the money, I am stealing it and reposting if you don't mind. Actually I'm going to steal it and repost anyway I have a site in mind that could use a little reminder.

that is odd, i would think in most troubled spots in the world,AFRICA.C,A, S,A,) the machete is the "AW" of choice. anyway it doe's fit your description.

Yeah feel free to steal it or add to it. I just use some of Aunt Sarah's money to order a 12 ga. trade gun flintlock. Should be a blast to shoot. In reading up on the history I was struck by the similarities between the trade guns and the demonized AK-47. The Birmingham gunmakers were even called "blood merchants" for making them at the time.

Any notion that the AK or other modern assault rifles are so much more powerful than 18th century muskets can be quickly cured by staring into the enormous barrel of one of those "primitive" firearms, or seeing what a wiff of buck and ball will do to several men at once.

As we know, there have always been dangerous "assault weapons" around, and there always will be. Before the trade gun there was the longbow, and before that the spear and horse. In human hands any of these can do enormous damage against disarmed targets. You must govern the hands, justly, not the weapons.

Before bows and arrows there were thrown spears, stabbing spears, other pointy sticks, clubs, and small and large rocks sharpened or not. Don't let the logic of, "it's the person, not the tool," argument bother Sarah or any of the other anti-gun people.

Oh, and I nearly forgot those wicked jawbones.

Most of those reasons are the reasons that I like em'! (AWs)
But forget the fact that a good combat knife will do MORE damage than a high power cartridge.

Not to mention pitchforks - can't let the peasants have those

I just bought my wife a new pitchfork, she is outside cleaning stalls with it right now!!:D

Have you heard that the ak-47 weighs "only 10 pounds"(actually kind of heavy for a firearm) and "has a range of over 1000 yards"?(It might actually be unable to hit a barn from there, if anyone knows the proper dimnsions of a barn.)

AK-47 vs M-16A whatever

To knock the snot out an AK user, one merely needs a .223 Remington- powered Varmint caliber. Range, accuracy, power all reside on the shoulder of an adept AR .223 user. Yes, an AK can kill a valiant American warrior, if left to get close enough to lob a 7.62mm slug. No, that shouldn't happen with the keen eyesight of carrot-eating Americans. In general, Arabs have POOR depth of vision, as exemplified by their poor driving skills on highways. Camel speed versus Chevy speed. In Korea, 25 mph was the top speed limit as well I know. After returning to America, it took me months to realize that 70 mph was not automatically begging to be roadkill. America lives at a faster pace than most other countries, so our dexterity and eyesight reigns supreme. cliffy

Remember, the new gun doesn't exist if you don't post pictures of it.

Where did you order it from? Track of the Wolf always has something I'm drooling over.
