Got this note from a customer tonight... If you're on their nerves, it must be working...

Campus police actually removed my bumper stickers! I didn't believe it, but a friend watched them do it. What should I do? I paid good money for those stickers, and tuitition. The THIEVES! Guess I got their attention.

Bogie, they tore up my blue "When Seconds Matter, Police Arrive in Minutes" sticker and the red "Police Have Never Stopped a Campus Shooting" sticker! I can see where they may have not liked the truth, but to have actual police hired by the campus take the stickers off of a vehicle cannot be within their discretion. They couldn't get the "Gun Free Zones Kill" one as it was on the inside behind the spare tire in the left rear window, where I am going to display all of them from now on. I am gonna tape them inside to the rear windows.

Quote away. I just can't believe they did that. I have a meeting with the dean of security tomorrow, regarding CCW on campus, and this is definitely going to be addressed.

This really happened to my Jeep on March 20, 2008.

Tell 'em:
"1. I don't carry here. (only if it's true, which it better be) 2. First Amendment, baby--Kilo Mike Alpha!"

And 3. Start prepping action on "Harassment" and "Vandalism" grounds, along with any other legalese that might be twisted to fit.

I'd try and get some of the stickers that go inside your rear window sticky-side out.

Then, if they try and say something:
First Amendment, baby--Kilo Mike Alpha!"

I realize how frustrating that must be. I'm kind of surprised I wasn't ever asked to leave my college when I participated in the empty holster protest or when I wore my "Fear the gov't that fears your guns" shirt. But if I were asked to leave, I would have calmly explained that I was within my rights.

Are these things "edgy?" Well, yes. But that's only because the general population is so hopelessly ignorant and many wouldn't recognize logic if it bit them in the rear. Nonetheless, it is well within your rights to put those bumper stickers on your car and it is highly inappropriate for them to remove said stickers. I'd be pissed.

I've tried doing the inside-window stickers, and, frankly, they're kinda iffy... They don't really show up all that well, and with tinted windows, they don't show up at all...

This guy is getting freebie replacements. ONLY this guy, so the rest of you don't get any ideas.

In fact, he's getting a few extra to give to friends.

Revolutionary Concept: When comes a time that The Man starts trying to stop you, you know you're ahead.

FWIW, the stickers that got removed, and the ones he's getting to replace them, are here:

He should simply mention that the school-employed officers stripping him of his First Amendment rights is not an effective way to pacify his disappointment with the school stripping him of his Second Amendment rights...

No?

Put the same stickers back on. Then park the car where no officer could miss it - right next to the dispatch station or something. Set up a "sting" operation. Video tape them as they do it again from another vehicle parked further away. Then accuse them of defacing your property. When they deny it (which they will) show them the tape and watch them crap their pants.

ETA: Whoops just a little to late. Conqueror - I guess great minds think alike.

Make several copies of the tape first, as they will want it ffor "evidence." Take it to you the VC and or put it on you tube or send it to the local/national media.

Contact your local prosecutor. This is vandalism, theft of personal property, and it might be a stretch but also could be considered tampering with a motor vehicle. In some jurisdictions tampering with a motor vehicle could be upped to a felony charge depending on what is done to the vehicle. This would only be a misdemeanor. At the very least it is a violation of your 1st ammendment right to free speach. The video tape sting is a good idea. Give the original tape to a trusted attorney and have them give a copy to the prosecutor and a second copy to the U.S. Attorney's office. They love going after cops who violate civil rights. If two or more cops are involved that could be charged as "conspiracy to violate civil rights under color of law" which the U.S. Att. office usually takes seriously. If cops are doing this what else are they doing type of thing. Go get 'em.

Stick them on the cop's cars. A lot of em.
With a note that says "I noticed you liked my stickers so much you took them. Here's some of your very own"

Ah, but that'd be vandalism, and folks here told me that civil disobedience along that sort of lines is not polite. We should ask the officers to meet us at noon on the field of battle, and march out as gentlemen... That skulking behind trees and fencerows is for savages.

Dude, if you're watching this, let me know, and I can print them on some stuff with a Really Good permanent adhesive...
