It seems everyone is under the assumption that the AR/AK type rifles will continue to gain value with current Dem majority. However, it seems more likely now that the anti-gun crowd has started playing the ammo shortage game and will probably find more success in the future.

Let's say 5 years from now it is next to impossible to find 20 rounds of 5.56 or 7.62. Let's say it's even more difficult to find 22lr than it is now. Will all these rifles people recently bought due to the "Obama scare" be up for sale for $500 or less? I can't see why 30 round mags would be valuable if 90% of people don't have 30+ rounds to put in them.

Obviously some of us have ammo stocked so the AR will be of value to a select few. Anyway, how can the NRA/GOA fight covert liberal plans to limit ammunition availability. Does the 2nd expressly guaranty our right to sub $300/case ammo? Obama's executive order to reclassify military brass was luckily shot down....this time. How difficult would it be to impose excessive environmental/terrorist taxes on lead/gun powder?

Tin foil hat time: Cyber terrorists infiltrate our electric/water infrastructure, Obama cuts military spending (F22), commies role in ala Red Dawn, we don't have ammo.:cuss:

You are seriously convinced that the fact there is less ammo in stores is some kind of conspiracy?

Really? How about the posts on here, daily, of people buying ammo.

"I bought all they had" " I met the ammo truck at Wal Mart and bought it all" "One guy at the gun show said he bought all the ammo, 20,000 rounds".

You need a LOT more tin foil if that really sounds like a conspiracy.

It's simple panic buying, and people are buying in much greater quantities than they ever have. 1,000 rounds used to be a lot, now it's small time.

I was in Cheaper Than Dirt here in Ft Worth yesterday, ammo is stacked to the ceiling. It's at obscene prices, but it's there. There was also a line to buy it.

There is no conspiracy, just people buying like mad hatters.

I agree with Texas Rifleman. If I was Tom Brocaw I would call it, "the fleecing of America". I don't know why really, it just sounds funny to me.

In my mind at least, all the good news (that the ammo and assault rifle suppliers most likely don't want you to hear) about not doing a new AWB leads me to believe that the dem majority is either pulling of a SWEET consipiracy against us gun utilizers or the times they are a changin' concerning a Democrats automatic need for immediate gun control. Even PELOSI is willing to comprimise. (I know I can't spell)
