To me the number one predator is a large dog, then humans. All the smaller stuff anything would work. Those large dogs soak up bullets pretty well sometimes. Best to shoot them in the head. I think a .357 sig 115gr or 110gr .357 mag loaded to max specs would be the most effective. But plain old 9mm will do too.
