ATOMIC AMMO 9MM +P???

I can't find many reviews on this ammo.
Anyone have any experience or heard anything?
Looks super duper HOT!!
But, I've learned the hard way...everything hot ain't good for you!
A friend of mine says he reloads according to their specs and loves the results.

+p has a pressure specification. +p+ is off the reservation. Just check the ramshot manual free for download from their site. Zero experience with that ammo.

Meh, I surpassed 124gr at 1,300 a long time ago. That's still pretty hot for a production pistol, about what you get when you go some where around a full grain over the max charge with HS-6. I wouldn't shoot anything like that in a modern mass produced handgun.
Super hot is 1,500 out of a 7 inch barrel, only safe-ish in a sten sub machine gun with its mauser thick barrel and meat hammer bolt.

124@1300 = 161 power factor

I don't know about atomic ammo but for a +P this one is moving 9mm Liberty Civil Defense 50 grain. Box says 2000 fps, but every single one I chronograph is well over 2100 fps out of a 4 inch barrel.

I recommend looking up a few videos. It is not novelty...its devastating like a little bomb at 3 inches deep then star pattern, and won't over penetrate. A novelty bullet don't defeat body armor. Folks even kill hogs with them.

Maybe a poor brand name choice, if it blows up guns. So I'd have to expect it's safe and they know it. Could you imagine going to court in an injury lawsuit against atomic and the judge would look at you and say "what did you expect??" , atomic. Lol. I don't know, find a blob of something and shoot it some, see what happens

It's not explosive, literally. It's still a handgun cartridge being shot at handgun speed.

1300 fps doesn't defeat body armor.

Folks kill hogs with 22 lr.

Vauge recommendations of "you should do some research" are pointless.

Of coarse its not "explosive" but it does pretty much explode lol. And 1300 fps? I'm talking 2100 fps. Watch the video...try some yourself then...or not. I have purchased them shot and tested them and carry them. Hate them all you want. 2100fps+ HP is vicious. And light recoil. Have a great day!

Maybe they copied the “Atomic” name from the now-obsolete “.357 Atomic” that was marketed as a souped-up .357 Magnum by Great Western.

I wonder if they’re just shooting a copper jacket, 50 grains is awfully light in a .355 bullet size.

If I can ever find any I’ll try some.

Being in Phoenix (where they're based) I have shot a lot of atomic ammo. I love it.

I have shot their normal 9mm ammo
10mm
223s (sub and super sonic)
6.5 creed match
308 match

All had fabulous results.

Well I appreciate that. Even though the bullets I mention move 2100fps (insane) they are 50 grain. 124 moving 1300 is in its own right impressive. I'm curious as to how they perform for you, I like 124 and so does my S&W 9mm. Check into those civil defense rounds. They are something else, I'll tell ya. They also make a 45 worth carrying lol. I believe they have a 90g bullet that is moving 1900fps from a 45..WOW. I may remember wrong...but damn!!!
