There was a thread up a while back that is now locked concerning the Alien Firearms License fiasco that's 'temporarily' preventing all resident aliens in Washington State from legally possessing firearms. We are not stuck waiting until the next legislative session to see some movement on this because I just found out that the SAF and NRA are SUING Washington State, The Director of the Department of Licensing, and the Issaquah Chief of Police over the issue.

Excuse me, but why should anyone who is not a citizen have the 2nd amendment RKBA? Non citizens aren't allowed to vote, they aren't allowed to hold public office and have other restrictions that do not apply to citizens - native born or naturalized. Where/how does the 2nd amendment apply/extend to non citizens? I know of no country on the earth who extends all rights of citizens to non-citizens.

Or am I misunderstanding your post?

Because unlike the right to vote, the 2nd amendment is a right that everyone is born with. The bill of rights does not give rights, but recognizes pre-existing rights. Rights aren't just for citizens. A good example of this is the freedom of speech, which applies to everyone, not just citizens.
 
Those born in Washington DC are the only true United States citizens in the US you would think they would not have a problem voting and buying guns.

If you read the 14th Amendment you will understand this statement in time.

Everything in the bill of rights extends to all people in the U.S. unless they've done something deserving to have them taken away. You must not think much of the second amendment to say something like this. It's the least important amendment to you, right? How do you feel about with-holding the right to free speech, or to a speedy trial from certain people?
