Auto +P question

You mean like, stiffer springs to prevent the increased slide speed from battering your handgun?

Have you called the manufacturer for thier opinions?

In short, No. I am trying to establish whether or not it is even a concern. There is no such warning on the ammo. The performance is marginally better.

Specifically, .45 acp.

OK. I checked GLockTalk and the GLock seems to be OK with +P. I realize that the 1911 may be a more "loaded" issue. P14-45.

BTW, a search on this forum has 2,901 responses in autochucker forum :what: Seems like +P always ends up in some thread somewhere.

The Glock 9mm (19 and 17 model) pressure specs are over 43,000psi (per the armorer's manual). 9mm +P is only 38,500psi.

The higher the pressure the more wear and tear on the gun. Personally I don't think it's worth it.There's no magic in the hot loads, go for brtter shot placement.
