I'm trying hard to get into Cowboy Action Shooting. I have a Stevens 5100 and I would like to deactivate the auto safety. I looked at a lot of different sites and articles about slicking up the 311, but none state what needs to be done to turn this feature off. I do not want to completely do away with the safety, just the feature that automaticly engages each time the breech is opened and closed. Anybody got good advice? Thanks.
