Automated, Rube Goldergish setups to ogle?

Hi, there!

Poring over this forum for the last couple of years, I've seen some pretty outrageous (envy-sparking!) reloading setups -- this is one reason I need to seek a house with a basement ;)

Right now, I'm specifically interested in / curious about automation: do any of you have (or can point to) automated reloading systems of one degree or another? (And Yes, I mean home setups, not a link to youtube videos of the Lake City factory ;))

I wonder what the closest any hobbyist is to a "drop in a quarter, press the button" miniature factory. I'm sure there is an overlap here of people who like things like robotics, model trains, etc, with those who reload, as evidenced by the many instances of homemade jigs, rigs, benches, lighting assemblies, mounts, doo-dads and bench furniture.

Responses appreciated, incl. links to old threads I've overlooked -- I know I've seen some pretty good Rube Goldbergisms on here that I've not been able to relocate.

I made drawing to add hydraulics to a Dillon. Alas, I don't own a mill, so i couldn't make the brackets.

I also have a friend with multiple camdex machines that he bought from a local reman. co. when they closed their doors.
 
The 1050 would be your best bet to automate as it would be much easier to drive than any of the other machines. I see a gear reduced motor with a clutch operated by a momentary push button activating a latching relay. All of the sensors (low powder, low primer, powder check die, and incomplete stroke) are wired to unlatch the relay and stop the process when they are triggered. I played with automating one of my 650s awhile back but I didn’t like the drive. You can search here or goggle and find information on bullet feeders and bullet casters that make that part of the process hands free. http://www.spolargold.com/hydrauli.htm makes hydraulic shot shell loaders.

You might be interested in the series of books titled Ingenious Mechanisms they are a good read if you are into automation.
