You are correct but none of those are sub MOA in either of my two CZ's. Lapua Midas +, lot # 28551/610171 on the other hand, will shoot 1/4" @ 50yards in the 457 and 3/8" in the 455. One full brick left so the search begins anew.

No midas + but my lgs had some last time I was in there. If they still have it I'll check lots for you. I was in there buying x-act.

Edit: have you ever tried cci standard velocity in there? My contender loves lapua and the cci somehow.

I am ignorant of the Federal offering. Is it any good?
It’s similar to the CCI Stingers. Lighter bullet at high velocity, with the Federal offering geared toward short barreled handguns.
The Punch ammunition is fully nickel jacketed. I don’t know if I’d want that run down any of my target barrels. Or if I’d use a rimfire for carrying. But a tough jacketed bullet for hunting more durable smaller game would be nice. It comes at the cost of bullet weight though and I tend to like a more full bullet. Interesting, none the less.:)

Too many flyers while trying to keep 5 touching that look like this,O, not a sideways L. (Stringing) Both of my rifles just like German ammo for some reason. Lapua Midas in the 457, SK PMS and rifle match from RWS out of the 455. German made Wolf was the same way. Good groups for the money. British made, not so much.

This morning my favorite LGS has Aguila 40gr something for 3.99 a box of 50. Said I could buy up to a 1/2 case (2500). I passed on it because I still have 5 or so cases, but ammo seems to be coming back.

 for your situation. Down here in fly over very quickly land things seem to trickle in very slowly while the rest of the country is enjoying a plentiful supply. Eventually some will show up here. Maybe the profit margin just isn't there considering our rather low population count. Oh, how I wish Amazon would start selling ammo.

Ummm...maybe I have it all wrong, but I was under the simple impression that this thread was started to help regular folks looking for plinking .22, you know, like 90% of us, who just want some decent .22 ammo to take out and shoot at cans and targets...maybe with our kids/grandkids/new shooters.

I think the sub MOA at 200 yards .22 thread was a different one. But I may be mistaken...

Personally, I still have an adequate
supply of 22LR for myself since I
don't do magazine dumps and
such, but I advocate that those
who are in need of ammunition to
just buy enough to be adequately
supplied and to not enable any of
the gougers. If the price seems unfair,
it probably is and take a pass .
It'll get more reasonable and available
as the gougers get stuck with what
they bought hoping to make a killing
on
Good Luck

Got my 1,000 Aguilas yesterday, should have my 3200 rounds of federal by Wednesday - along with what I already have, I should be GTG for quite a while

It amazes me that Lapua does not shoot good in either of my rifles, a 52 B Win and a CZ 453. I ran test with over a dozen brands and Wolf Match and Federal Gold Medal shot better than any of the others. As for the cheap stuff, Winchester Power Point gets the nod.

I needed some groceries so ran into Walmart by my home. A dozen or so boxes of Federal Automatch for I think $17-$18 a box? I have plenty so I didn't buy any. It's hard not to, but I'm optimistic things will eventually be just fine. A few other boxes of .270, 300 Blackout (I think), various shotgun shells.

Academy in Katy had about a case of Norma TAC-22 for $10 a box. I don't need any, so you guys can git you sum!
Some say the Norma is like SK Standard+. I know if I ever see any for sale and it is $7- $8.00 a box, I'll try some.

I shoot both SK Standard and Norma Tac-22. The SK is better over-all, but the Norma shoots very well in one of my rifles. Both of them shoot better than all my other ammo.

You sure are one rude dude . Strange PM.

I've noticed that there are a lot more of these types on the two "nice" forums that I visit. It's getting to the point that some of the "gun people" are as rude as the anti-gunners.

By the way, I have been buying direct from CCI. Not the best prices, but better than anywhere else I've seen. They did raise their prices across the board by $1 about a month ago.

At 91-94 degrees, won’t be shooting as often, and…..”minute-of-can” is Always good enough—- (even in January)………but why, oh why is this worthy ?

All of my targets for handguns are large metal plates on the AP ranges.

Cci standard velocity
Velocitors
And 50 packs of stingers instock.

Federal 800 packs and auto match 325s available also.
