I got my first buck this year opening day, it was only a button buck, but hey, its meat on the table, I got 'em at about 8 am last saterday, the distance was about 120 to 150 yards across a gully. I used my remington 1187 with the rifled barrel, iron sights and remingtons core lokt sabot rounds, round entered through the rib cage, uterly distroyed the lungs and smashed against the opposite shoulder, he dropped right where he stood, he dressed out at about 90 pounds, so I should have about 50 pounds of meat when it gets back from the butcher. my cousin's father inlaw took a huge doe about 30 minutes earlier 75 yards from me with a shot to the neck dropping her in her tracks. all together it was a great day.
