I'll be going to the range again this weekend. It's a 45 mile drive for me, 11 of which is up a mountain. But I've been going to this range since I was 12, and there is no other range in So.Cal that lets you shoot not only your own targets, but weird (though safe) ones as well - like pumpkins, crabapples, bowling pins, big smiley faces...

Fee is $10 per person. Targets are $10 each, $8 of which is refundable as long as you don't bust up the frame.

Tri-tip sandwiches hot off the San-Anton style wood grill are six dollars which includes drink and chips..

or you can bring your own food (within reason)

kids shoot free.

if anyone would like to meet up there, just let me know!

I was planning on going to Angeles on the 4th in the morning for a couple hours. I'm going to give them a call in the morning and see if they're open on the 4th, if so I'll be there.

If anyone else wants to meet up I'll see you there, 9 am.

i would be there tomorrow except

that i may need to stay at home and take care of the dog.

depends if we can get the techs to take the drains out of stalin without putting him under sedation.

Range is open tomorrow, hope your dog is okay. See you there if you can make it, I'll be at the far end of the rifle range.

sorry i'm a little late on the reply, but since when did burro canyon also have bbq!? i haven't been there in a couple years. sounds like i need to go back. shoot-n-que is almost as perfect as a day gets.

I used to shoot there

I went to med school in Pomona '87-'91, used to shoot in burro canyon from time to time (also some place south of 10 off 15). Nice range back then. I thought the DNR had closed it a year or two ago.

One question about the thumbnail you posted, why does the guy on the right have a green LASER dot on his left shoulder?

Normbal,

Looks like a sticker to me. Doesnt the guy in the middle have one on his back too?

just checking. I've never been to a range that did that, but I haven't shot at Azusa in over 15 years, maybe it's a new thing or I don't remember.
