Anybody found a good backpack that has good sized side pockets (under the arm position) to carry a 4" N-frame? I have seen some with said pockets but seemed too small for the N-frame. Used mainly to carry concealed during hunting and/or hiking.

Get a Safepacker and put it on your pants belt. It will stay out of the way of the hip belt of the backpack.

have you looked at maxpedition products? they have 2 options... true "backpacks":

http://www.maxpedition.com/product/catalog_backpack.htm

the vulture II and Condor II have a side pocket w/ pics of CC for a large handgun.

same with there 1 strap "gear slingers":

note: the "model" they use must be a dwarf... those packs aren't as big as you'd think. i attached a pic of the small "monsoon" gearslinger.

lastly, if you don't want a backpack, the versipacks are pretty sweet. i love the jumbo for CCW in the woods:

Ebay has some of the best deals... LA Police Gear is having a big clearance sale on some items, too.

Have you seen the Camelback Demon Backpack?

It has a hidden compartment specifically to carry a weapon.
