Greeting's All-

Well, I awoke at 0430 hrs this AM in oder to participate in some informal
target shooting at my local PD range. Arriving at the facility a'round 0750
hrs, I found the entrance gates locked and secured tighter than Dick's hat
band~!:uhoh: The range is suppose to be open to the public on the first
Saturday of each month; rain, shine, sleet, or snow. I figuered with the
cool 54 degree temp, that the RO might have over slept and probably was
runn'in a few minutes late. Well, while waiting for the event to unfold two
more persons appeared on the scene too try out new purchaes'es. We
began talking in general, and the next thing you know it was 10:30 AM;
and still no RO was in sight~!:cuss: A quick call to the PD headquarters
revealed that they didn't even know what RO was suppose too be on
duty. With that, I simply returned to my vechile and exited the
property very highly pissed; especially since this was a very RARE
Saturday off~!

Sorry, for the bitching- but I just needed to get it off my chest,

I hear you. I wanted to visit a famous firing range in Downtown Los Angeles, where all the Sheriff, cops, and other LEO hang out. Also, it was close to my wife's job so I decide to leave work early, get some range time and pick her up at the end of the day.

After going through terrible Downtown LA traffic, I found the range with a nice sign...CLOSED. This place was supposed to be open 24-7!!!

It was a holiday weekend. WEAK!!! :fire:

Not exactly a range trip, but I wanted to cry one time because my local gunshop was closed that day for some special reason, and it was the 10th day on my Mauser...:cuss:

PD ranges here are not open to the public, but we have several private and public ranges to choose from. Move on in, plenty of room.
