I'm set on getting one of those. I've read all posts about cheap O/U, etc, I get it ;)

I will shoot clays with it, but very few. Probably less than 1000 per year and mostly for practice..
But I want to carry it in a woods and hunt with.

I know 310 is heavier and probably more reliable. CZ is light, probably better for carrying and not shooting scenario.
Which one would you go with if you only had those choices? I will buy new in 12Ga, 28

Whichever fits you better. The Baikal will probably last several lifetimes, but they are heavy and awkward handling. The CZ is a nice pointing gun, but long term reliability is hit or miss. The CZ is the nicest of the budget O/U's IMO.

Given a choice between these two I would probably go with the CZ. Baikal shotguns really don't fit me all that well, feeling kind of bulky and awkward to get into action. They're also kind of on the heavier side which is not something I'm looking for in a shotgun I'm hunting with all day. The CZ Ultralight is definitely lighter, weighing in at around 6 pounds (compared to about 7 1/2 pounds for the Baikal 310), but also costs a bit more than the Russian offering.
