Cartridge : .38 Special Cor-Bon 110gr +P DPX all copper hollowpoint

Firearm : .357 Magnum derringer with 1.4" barrel length

Block calibration : All depths corrected (From 10.1cm @ 582 ft/sec)

Single shot fired from 10' distance into gelatin block faced with 4 layers of 14.1 ounce denim fabric (to simulate heavy winter clothing). Bullet impacted at 934 ft/sec, penetrated to 11.4" and was recovered at 0.505" average diameter and 110.8gr weight.

You do an excellent job on these threads, thanks.

I was able to test the same load from my 442, and it went just a hair over 12 and expanded to .62.

It looks like a great load for snubs.

Yup...Corbon DPX carried in my P3AT, my 642 and my .45 ACP. Copper bullets are fast...always expand...do not foul the barrel like lead...have less recoil...penetrate deeper...they Rule!
