I could get a .44 mag, but that would be a bit much for me,.
One nice thing about the 44mag is it is versatile with its different loadings from light 44 special to stout 44mag. Not that you can't load the 10 up and down it can be a little more finicky.30 years ago I had three 44 Mag revolvers, the blast jarred my molars and that was shooting outdoors; I'll pass on that now.
I shot the Glock 10mm with 150 gr. @ 1,400 fps and 180 gr. @ 1,220+ fps in a indoor range no problem.

Nice setup. Been thinking about sending my 21 out this summer to get milled for a Holosun.
This is the 4th handgun I've put a Holosun 507c x2 on; Glock 34.5, 22.5, 35.4 (with 357 Sig barrel) and the 20SF.
I've now got a dot on a 9mm, 40, 40/357 Sig, and 10mm. If I do another dot it will be my 21SF in 45 acp.
The dot is ~$305 then having the slide cut about $100 and add another $60 for Cerakote (or just rub blue on the area) not real cheap, so I'm not in a hurry.
I went with the 20 over the 21 first because... Ya know, bears, FL bear might show up in the parking lot of Publix or Wal-Mart and I'll be ready.
I've used Wager Machine and Battlewerks (they did the 20) was happy with both.
I’ve been thinking of trying the Glock cut SCS for my 19 and swapping my 19s 507c over to the 21 after I get it milled. Both my 365s have 507ks on them, I also like Holosun. Need that green circle with dot for my colorblind eyes
I had a red dot first, then I bought a green as I had seen people say the green was/is better; I'm the odd guy out (as usual) because green was more fuzzed than red.
Sent the green back and got another red.
Caveat: I'm a bit nearsighted, fixed sights are clear without my glasses, red dot has fuzz (green had more); with glasses fixed sights get fuzzed, dot is clear.
I had 20/20 vision 30 years ago, had.
Im the opposite, even with my glasses a front sight that’s on longer than a 4” barrel is gonna be a blur no matter what, unless it’s yellow or a bright fiber optic.
I need green (and on max power) primarily in bright sunlight else the dot just washes out and vanishes. Circle dot is clear no matter the color for me, I just use it like the XS Big dot. Sure I lose a little precision (though I can still do that if I focus) but it’s really hard to miss the big glowing circle for speed.
Close in bullet diameter but the 10 is not equal in energy to the 41mag.Excuse my not knowing this but would 10 mm be the equivalent of .41 magnum in bore diameter?
Excuse my not knowing this but would 10 mm be the equivalent of .41 magnum in bore diameter?
Right. And it typically is. There are a few light .41Mag loads that come in close to hot 10mm loads, but generally the .41Mag is loaded much hotter than 10mm. 10mm and .357Mag are very similar in terms of performance. The .41 mag can be loaded much hotter than a 10mm pistol cartridge.
A Glock 20 is a very lightweight polymer-framed gun. That low weight will seriously diminish the amount of cartridge that most people will be able to control.
I'm not going to get into a cartridge debate, but if you choose 10mm, you could carry a Colt Delta or a S&W 610 revolver and have more control over hot 10mm cartridges loaded with heavy bullets.
With a Glock, a lot of people would have a harder time controlling soft loads that are closer to 40 S&W.
I have three 10mm 1911's including a Delta:

The Glock 20SF has less felt recoil than the Delta, says somebody with both.
If you want a cartridge debate, I'm game; I've got guns in 380, 38 special, 9mm, 357 Sig, 40, 45, 10mm
Couple of my other favorites, Glock 34.5 (9mm) and 22.5 (40 S&W)

Maybe you should have a special Glock made that goes to 11…
Im glad you like the G22-5. Not much said these days on .40’s. Can you compare that gun to previous G22 gen’s?
Yes. I've got a gen 3 Glock 22 too.
The gen 5 has a thicker slide than the gen 3.
Here is 17.5 and the 22.5 you can see its a little thicker.

22.5 has less felt recoil than the 22.3
Subjectively, going back & forth shooting the 34.5 (9mm) and the 22.5 (40) with its thicker (heavier) slide the difference in split time is insignificant / indistinguishable.
I am sacrificing outright fastest split times if comparing the 20SF to the 34.5 or 22.5 but we are talking less than a tenth second difference. I've let the shot timer dictate my carry before and 9mm always wins so there is no point in using the shot timer, just carry 9mm; however, if we are willing to give up seven hundredths second for a more powerful caliber then the shot timer is overruled (sorry, shot timer).
