I think a "small of back" type holster would be better. Then again having a gun on the hip may deter future robbies.

WOW! We're on the map NOW for sure! :) Yes, that's why I carry everywhere I can. You just never know.............J-town isn't the quaint little town of old. My youngest brother was on the JPD for a few years and he said that you'd be surprised at what goes on in this town.

shoot safe!

Just my opinon, but I think he might be better off with a chest or shoulder holster. Both hands are probably busy, but having the gun closer to hand level (pretend you are a barber for a minute) might make drawing easier. It also leaves it closer to your hands should someone try to take it. Hopefully he gave some thought to it, or will practice with it in the near future.

Interesting thing though, I've spoken with several local gun store owners, all of which open carry while behind the counter. They have never had anyone try to rob them. Attempted burglary yes, but never robbery. Open carry definitely deters crime.

Yeh, that's what the detective said that taught my CCW class. He also gave pretty stought warnings about going into Wal-Mart late at night. Like take notice of who is standing around and make a point to look them in the eye, that way they know you can ID them if need be. I'm still working on trying to get my wife to carry but she is not comfortable enough with a gun yet to carry one around. She has kinda liberal leanings in that manner. :banghead:
