I'm posting this note in this sub-forum because the size of the item seems to lend itself more to handguns, though anyone could use them.
I have been more than a little interested in the product called RemCloth, a micro-fiber cloth being marketed by Remington, which includes a small tube of an oil/VCI mixture, to saturate the cloth with before use. Once saturated, one is supposed to wrap or store one's handgun (or whatever) within the cloth, which outgasses a non-toxic Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor, or VCI. I KNOW the VCI's work, because I have some VCI-emitting plastic bags I use to store my super-expensive, super-high-quality handplanes, and they WORK!
However, I can't find the RemCloth in any stores close enough to drive to. They are available online, but the shipping is costly.
Keeping the preceeding in mind, there exists, or used to exist, a microfiber cloth very similar to the RemCloth, called a Norton Dust Cloth, for woodworking. Doesn't have anything like a VCI quality, but I thought I could use some Mobil 1, just for wiping down. While looking locally for the Norton cloths, I came upon some microfiber cloths at Lowe's. They are almost as finely woven as the Norton ones, are super-soft, are even bigger by two inches in each direction, and they are CHEAP. About $13 for 18 cloths. Here's the site at Lowe's to see them.

So this thread is really a "for what it's worth", for anyone who wants a bargain.
