I'm thinking of getting a rifled barrel for the numrich Hopkins and Allen underhammer I have. Like to see what you guys would get.

I am thinking a green mountain, 13/16 45cal. I'm not sure on length yet. I'd like to make this a switch barrel gun in a case, I'd like a 36cal barrel someday to.

Any tips will be helpful, I think I got the breach plug figured out, drilling and taping the hole for the nipple maybe a pain.

The guys who shoot with .40 caliber barrels always praise their accuracy.
It's a very fast and flat shooting caliber, but not much use except for target shooting.
Yea maybe one day I'll try a 40, for now I think the 45 for deer and 36 for small game and target shooting.

I would like a 54 but maybe to heavy and unbalanced, in I'm kinda worried the stock may crack with the 54. But again I shoot more then a oz of shot with the soothbore that's .680 bore.

Bobby Hoyt lined a Hawken Barrel for me with a 1 in 16 rate of twist and.400 caliber. Shoots a 335 grain paper patched bullet very well indeed! It’s now my go to antelope and deer (where allowed) rifle...
